The government has ear-marked £37m worth of grants for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) whom they envisage will have additional needs through this pandemic. Parents are encouraged to apply to the Family Fund to obtain a grant for educational materials/toys or other items that will be needed at home due to social distancing, or any other pandemic-related reason - for example, having to spend more time at home. Grants are between £400 and £500.
