Working together, working with you

Coronavirus: Service changes

Coronavirus: Service changes

In  light of the current COVID-19 outbreak and in response to NHS guidelines on the prioritisation of health care services, we have made the difficult decision to suspend the majority of our face-to-face work for the time being. Contact with families will instead take place over the telephone, wherever possible. This page will continue to be updated with any changes to service provision as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

We are also running a dedicated telephone advice and information service, and will continue to update our list of resources and useful links for families.

Changes to services

Community Paediatrics

Community Paediatrics Services in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire are currently only accepting urgent GP referrals.

Health visiting in South Gloucestershire

We are currently running a reduced service as the majority of the health visitors and community nursery nurses working in South Gloucestershire have now been re-deployed into front line community services to support the NHS. Find out more

Lifetime Service

Sirona care & health, Children’s Hospice South West and Jessie May are working together to meet the urgent and essential needs of the families that we care for through this challenging time. Our first priority is to ensure that children remain cared for and supported in the community wherever possible and appropriate. From 11 April, a dedicated telephone number offering 24/7 access to advice and support from a nurse with hospice/community care experience has been provided to families directly.
